Throughout civilization there have been many cities that have had a direct impact on our culture today. Many would consider Jerusalem, to be the religious capital city in the world.
In the center of the Holy Land, known today as Israel, is Jerusalem. Inside this city Jerusalem there are many holy sites. In the old city of Jerusalem, they recently discovered steps that lead to the double and triple gates of the Temple Mount as well one of the courts that the Sanhedrin, the ancient sages used to convene.
Former Chief Archeologist of Jerusalem discovered the exact location where Jesus walked to his last days of his life. This is the exact location where he disputed the Rabbis in the Sanhedrin when he was twelve years old.
We find a description of Jesus entering Jerusalem through these exact stairs, in the Gospel of Luke, Verses 19:40, 19:44, 20:17, and 21:6 where he spoke about the stones that he saw. Jesus of Nazareth to his last week in his life, when he entered the Holy City of Jerusalem, saw monumental stones that surrounded the city.

Our Archeologist
A recent discovery by the former chief archeologist of Jerusalem, Prof. Dan Bahat , a very respected author and professor, and a very well known professional in his field, has studied the stones of the stairs and as a result it has bought to them a much deeper perspective as the location in Jerusalem, the most revered place on earth, where Jesus spent the last moments of his life.
Professor Dan Bahat graduated Curriculum Vitae and is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of the Land of Israel Studies at Bar-Ilan University in Ramat-Gan, Israel.
His various positions and recognitions over the years have included: Israel Government Department of Antiquities, Ministry of Culture 1963-1990

Our Geologist
Mr. Ithamar Perath who in his youth grew up in Jerusalem had experienced daily encounters with the stonemasons who worked in the rock quarries in and around the city. Mr. Perath also encountered various stone edifices going back three thousand years and the archeology which exposed densely layered relics of the stony past of Jerusalem.
Mr. Perath later went on to study geology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem where he received his Masters in Science in 1965, Marine Geology at Scripps Institute and studied at UCSD in California where he received another Masters of Science in 1967. He has also worked in various diverse fields for companies which included micropaleontology for oil companies, mineral exploration in the Sinai, coastal geomorphology, and paleo-archeology.
In 1982 he was commissioned to write "Stone building and building stone in Israel", a summary review of the country's historical uses of its bedrock.
Mr. Ithamar Perath is currently retired, and lives near Jerusalem.
